MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By purchasing a season membership, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your membership and use of our facilities and services.

 1. Membership Eligibility 

Membership is open to individuals aged 13 and older, subject to approval by Council Greens Golf Course. Approval is based on the availability of memberships and compliance with these terms. Applicants must complete the membership application and pay the applicable fees. Council Greens Golf Course reserves the right to refuse or terminate membership at its sole discretion.

2. Membership Fees and Payment 

The season membership fee is payable in full at the time of enrollment or renewal. Current membership rates can be found on the Council Greens Golf Course website at www.councilgreensgolfcourse.com. Fees are nonrefundable except as outlined in Section 6 (Cancellations and Refunds). Membership is valid for the season purchased. A typical season is April to November. The precise opening and closure can vary depending on current weather conditions. The dates will be posted on the Council Greens Golf Course website and Facebook page.

 3. Membership Benefits 

Annual members receive unlimited access to the golf course, priority tee times. Priority tee times allow members to book tee times up to 14 days in advance. Benefits are subject to availability and may change with prior notice. Membership is nontransferable and valid only for the named member.

 4. Rules and Conduct 

Members must comply with all Council Greens Golf Course rules, including course etiquette and safety regulations (e.g., repairing divots, maintaining pace of play). Current rules are posted on the Council Greens Golf Course website and in the clubhouse. Disruptive behavior, damage to property, or violation of rules may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund. Members are responsible for their guests and must ensure they follow course policies.

 5. Reservation and Usage 

Reservations are not necessary. Tee times may be booked in advance via phone up to 14 days in advance. No-shows or cancellations without 24-hour notice may result in an individual’s inability to make additional reservations for the season.

 6. Cancellations and Refunds 

Membership fees are non-refundable.  If termination is due to medical inability, membership may be transferred to another individual at the discretion of Council Greens Golf Course staff. 

Council Greens Golf Course reserves the right to terminate memberships for rule violations, with no refund issued.

 7. Renewal 

Memberships do not automatically renew.

 8. Liability 

Members use the facilities at their own risk. Council Greens Golf Course is not liable for personal injury, property loss, or damage unless caused by gross negligence of the golf course. “Gross negligence” refers to a serious lack of care, such as failing to maintain a known hazard. Members are responsible for any damage they cause to the golf course property, equipment, and errant golf shots.

 9. Changes to Terms 

Council Greens Golf Course reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions, membership fees, or benefits at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes via the Council Greens Golf Course website or a posted notice in the clubhouse at least 30 days prior to the change taking effect. Continued use of the membership after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Weather Policy 

Council Greens Golf Course reserves the right to close the golf course due to inclement weather, including but not limited to heavy rain, snow, lightning, high winds, or extreme temperatures, to ensure the safety of members and staff. Closures will be determined at the sole discretion of Council Greens Golf Course management, and notice will be provided via the Council Greens Golf Course website, Facebook, or signage at the clubhouse when possible. If you have any questions, feel free to call the clubhouse in advance. No refunds, credits, or extensions of membership will be issued for closures due to weather, as these are considered circumstances beyond our control. Members are responsible for checking weather conditions and facility status before arrival. Tee times canceled by Council Greens Golf Course due to weather will not incur a no-show penalty; however, member-initiated cancellations must follow the reservation policy outlined in Section 5.
